Advanced Powder Coating Robots Boost Production Efficiency

The Greenheck Group’s IntelliFinishing system includes an e-room equipped with two Nordson paint booths. The first booth is highly automated, utilizing two FANUC powder coating robots that perform the majority of the painting tasks with precision and efficiency. The second booth is reserved for touch-ups, custom parts without a robot progam, or occasional parts that were hung incorrectly and therefore might have been a problem for the robot program. Greenheck finds they can maintain an automated paint rate of about 95% of all products, with only 5% of the work needing manual intervention.
