Project 1:  Industrial Fan Manufacturer

This customer used a phased approach and took advantage of IntelliFinishing's Lean techniques. A new plant was built in 2014 and a gradual increase was planned for the production of parts. The first phase of their powder coating system included manual wash booth, manual pull conveyor and automated conveyor within the system. Three years later, they added an automated process washer, a position to the oven and conveyor automation for the complete system. The phased approach allowed the company to delay the spending of approximately $2 million.

Project 2:  Roller Conveyor Manufacturer

A power and free conveyor was previously used in this roller conveyor manufacturer's powder coating system. Quality defects, rework, and downtime were keeping this manufacturer from meeting their growth plans. IntelliFinishing installed a high-speed automated system which has helped them improve quality and throughput.

A second phase for this project allows them to reduce transportation waste and decrease labor costs. Relocating the load area to the weld cells, along with the unload area to the assembly cells, decreases forklift traffic and reduces employee costs.
